Exploring Perth

Holidays! PERTH Trip  (9-15 September 2014)

This is my first time taking airplane alone to another country which is Australia. This one week of holiday, I have learnt a lot from my friend and relatives. I also realized that there is so much more for me to learn to improve myself to become a better person. There's a lot of first time here and I've learn a lot about the differences in the culture between Perth and Johor. See, watch, learn and experience it, looking different things at different angle and being positive.

Before I went to Perth, I've tried searching for informations about where to go at Perth but there is not much people sharing anything about Perth. So I have decided to share something with you all...Lucky me to have a good friend bringing me around that I do not need to worry to think about where to go at Perth, he is a superb tour guide bringing me around exploring. Yooohooo...lazy me, haha!

Here we go..
DAY 1 - Singapore > Perth
My lovely parents fetch me to the Airport and send me off to Perth~

On board to Perth- 5 hours 20 mins flight. The journey is so long that I have to listen to music in order to fall asleep, so better be prepared with some downloaded movies or songs. First time going overseas alone! Holiday~Excited.

I had teriyaki chicken rice on TigerAir and it taste yucky~ you can try rendang chicken rice which I think it will be much better. Wifi is available in the airport, so you can contact your friends or relatives after touch down. By the time I arrive Perth, shops had all closed for the day so.....go home and sleep straight :D

Day 2 at Perth

Good morning everybody, I follow my auntie straight to her shop to operate her business, Mon Belle bridal. It was my first time there, the gowns were all so beautiful that I can't resist to try it on.

The Muffins look nice isn't it? I wanted to eat so many things at Perth but after I ate my portion of food, I am so full and did not get to eat it~ Urgh...Want to go back to Perth already!

Here is the menu! There is not much variety but the food there is enough for you to have an headache picking what you want to eat for your lunch. The place is not very big but it is a comfortable place to have lunch, spending quality time catching up together with your friends. I ordered a white coffee and it is so nice!! Also, I had chicken and sriracha chestnut baguette, it taste so yummy... and I ate it all without anything left. Haha!! Me and my cousin had a great time there chatting with the owner who is so polite. The customer service in Perth is great!!Love their culture so much <3 I want to go back to Perth!!! URGHH...

Straight after lunch, we head to University of Western Australia to see the environment over there~
The campus is so big and there are so many spaces for students to study and of course I love to see them lying on the green grass looking up to the blue sky or sitting down there relaxing with their friends or couples. So sweet!! How I wish I was studying in Australia, a different culture over there.

Beautiful garden and let me take a selfie over here, hehe...Yayy!

Look!!! This guy just graduate~haha...I seldom see this kind of building in Singapore or in JB, so I am very "SUAKU" over here. I'm like woah....I feel like I'm in the movie of Harry Potter! Wahaha..

After visiting the campus, we head home....and this is kinda popular in Perth I assume? Saw a lot of my friends went there to take photo's. It is near to the Uni but I never get to go there..too bad~~at least I can get to take a photo of this..hahahah!

One week before I went Perth, I heard from my friend that the weather in Perth is bad and it might not be a good time when I go there....Hmmm, but I bought tickets already! It was raining heavily and worst there's storm too~~~~Lucky me, god still treat me good though, the first and second day was not bad and the weather is sooo good after!!

Took a photo with the beautiful flower in my auntie's garden and it light up my day even though the weather is not that great.

It is time for dinner now...while my auntie prepare the food for dinner, she was like saying "Cindy ah..come and see how ahyi cook, western food is so easy to prepare so next time you can cook for your angmoh husband". Haha!! It is really easy to cook~ Angmoh husband huh??
WHEN? WHERE CAN I FIND ONE?? Dreaming~

Day 3 at Perth
Having breakfast as usual, scramble eggs with white toast bread together with my hot chocolate!! yummy~

Another cousin of mine are bringing to the city to have a walk. Take a photo with her while waiting for the bus to arrive. The world is so small, I met my secondary friend on the bus and we took a photo together :D

City of Perth
There is some public artwork in the city somewhere, walk around and you might find a few there. I've took some photos and there it is...

After taking photos, we walk around in the city, walking into one shop to another but I never get anything for myself...haha!! too expensive for me~~~

Then.....lunch again!! It's in city area and this place is called GreenHouse Bar. Food & Restaurant.
It has a rooftop bar but it was closed when we went.

So many pots there all over the exterior of the shop!
I wonder how they rinse water there...haha~
so high up! Creative...
But I don't think this will works in JB though...

Nice environment and their chairs are made from recycled plywood which is then cut to reveal the grain. We've ordered kangaroo meat with salad and this is my first time eating kangaroo meat, it taste so yummy!!! Also, a pizza is ordered.. hmm, I don't remember what it's called...Just PIZZA!!haha...

The weather is so cold and we can't stand the wind over there~~~took a few photo's and went home...

I love the weather over there, I want to go to Perth again! Selfie of the day! I look happy right?? I AM!!

Day 4 at Perth
It's my 24th birthday!!!!!
After 10 years, I had a meet up with my friend Kwan!
We went for breakfast together and the place he brought me to makes me find the place a little familiar...I am like, ehhh...I am here last night looking at the beautiful scenery! It was too dark and I can't see anything.. Took some photo's again here.. beautiful place! I never even edit the pictures and the sky is original this blue!! So can you imagine it is so beautiful??
Why Malaysia don't have this blue sky? Makes me want to go there to live~~

In Perth, this is the way they buy tickets and place the receipt in the car so that they will not get fined!

Beautiful weather and beautiful place, take photo's and post in instagram and facebook~~~~haha!! that is what I always do...

I had Egg Benedict for my breakfast and Kwan had Avocado egg on toast. Initially I thought that this portion is not enough for me but I am really surprise that eating like this makes me so full...Healthy lifestyle over there everywhere in Perth. Even their vegetables are sooo nice and sweet!! In JB, seldom people eat any food with avocado but in Perth, they eat it frequently... It is more fresh over there! For me, I love the environment, "SUAKU" over here, so different from our cafe in JB. Read from facebook review, they said it is the most popular cafe on Mends St. So...you should definitely swing by if you are in South Perth.

Swan Valley is also Western Australia'a oldest and most visited wine growing region. After that little stop, we headed to Sandalford Wines.

Wine tasting~It's free and you can taste so many different wines there..

4 steps you need to know when tasting wine:

Swirl

Swirl the wine around your glass. This aerates the liquid and allows flavours to develop. Hold your glass up to the light and take note of the colour.

Sniff

Sniff the wine by putting your nose as far into the glass as you can.

Sip

Sip the wine and, with your head tilted back a little, slurp air through the wine. This noisy process encourages the wine to open up even more and ensures it is thoroughly distributed around your tastebuds.

Savour

Savour your wine a little longer, noticing how the flavours linger after you’ve swallowed. This gives an indication of the “length” of the wine.

Too windy and cold for me, so never go into the water...Just sightseeing there~ and of course take as much photo's as possible..haha^^ Also, look at how I dress that day, I like the place that it has a lot of grass area as an option for me not to lug it through sand. Then, it's my turn...Take a deep breathe and SCREAM~~~~after 5 seconds the feeling is not that scary anymore and the view from the top is soooo beautiful, fantastic!! Never even think before of doing skydiving but I went for it...There's video shooting all along skydiving and I look soooo ugly and unglam~~Don't want to show anybody but myself...hehehe!
