EUROPE TRIP (Paris, Italy, Milan, Florence, Venice) - DAY 4

DAY 4

From FLORENCE to VENICE

After having our breakfast in hotel, our initial plan is walk to Firenze S.M.N(train station) to get our tickets to visit Venice (Venezia) the romantic place.

However, the selected time tickets that we want are sold out and due to our time is quite tight we are discussing either not to go Venice or heading there and take the super late train back to Florence but we will be quite shag the next day because we do not have enough sleep that night. After a while, Ying had made a decision for us that we buy the next two hours train ticket and walk back our hotel and packed our luggage and stay a night at Venice so that we do not need to rush back to Florence at midnight.

There's still some time and we followed Ying to buy some of Celine and Prada bags before leaving Florence. Then I saw this horse cart feel like I'm back to 1990's.

Captain and me grabbed an ice cream before leaving Florence. Super yummy! Kinda expensive~~

This church is just infront of our hotel and every morning the bell will ring very loudly. Ying asked me whether I've heard the bell rang but I didn't, sleep very soundly. Haha..
Santa Maria del Fiore is under renovation but there's still lots of tourists gather there and snap photos. Let me take a few too while walking back to the hotel.

After shopping, we quickly walk back to the hotel and get our luggage packed, before hand, Ying had already paid for two days accomodation at Florence, so we went to ask the receptionist about it, we got back 20% of the money, better than nothing. Then push our luggage all the way to the train station.

Ying bought us Mcd, Crispy McBacon, it taste nice so different from Malaysia's Mcd. Board the train and took around 2 hours plus to reach Venice. The weather there is more windy than Florence. Once we arrived, walking out the station and immediately I'm like WAAAH~So beautiful!!! Ying went to get the ferry tickets and wait for the ferry to arrive.

Got on the ferry and feel super excited and keep snapping photos. So beautiful isn't it? I feel like I'm in a movie scene.

We passed by this ferry station and the next is the one we dropped off.

Once we arrive our station, the rain starts to pour heavily. Stuck there for 30minutes..The wind blows strongly, cold cold~ After the rain stops, we quickly find our way to the hotel in Venice. Walking through the small alley and got lost, lucky Ying has a phone card and used Google Map to get to our hotel.

Finally found our hotel and carried up all our luggages to check in at the reception and the guy told us that our room is at the next block. Our face are like "OMG", then we carried down again...hahaha~
Our beautiful and comfortable room~

After putting our luggages in room, me and Ying again went to do some shoppings!! Quickly rush over to Chanel outlet before it closes around 6pm.

No trip to Venice would be complete without a punt down one of the city's picturesque waterways in an iconic gondola.  Get around in a gondola is quite expensive~
The prices of hire of the gondola for six passengers or less. 8am-7pm €80 for 30 mins. 7pm-8am €100 for 35 mins. Didn't get to sit because we do not have enough time too. Next time!!
I'll come with my partner for it..hehe~

After shopping, we walked to St. Mark's Square.

The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark are commonly known as Saint Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) is the cathedral church that is the most famous of the city's churches and one of the best known examples of Italo-Byzantine architecture. It lies at the eastern end of the Piazza San Marco, adjacent and connected to the Doge's Palace. (The photo below on the left side)

Campanile di San Marco (Bell Tower at San Marco Square)
The bell tower of St. Mark's basilica is located right in front of the church on Piazza San Marco. The "Campanile", as it most often referred to by the Venetians, is an outstanding landmark of Venice. Standing at almost 100 meters high it is hard to miss it once at the square.
You can go up the Campanile but we did not manage to get up there due to the timing. There's an elevator that brings visitors up to the belfry, from where it's possible to enjoy a fantastic view of Venice. Tickets for the Campanile cost 8 Euros. The bell rings every hour and it's loud!

Actually our itinery did not include to visit Venice but Ying knows that I've never been there and planned to bring me here. Thank you for bringing me to so many places...Love you so much!!! Really really glad to have you in my life.

The Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale) is a palace built in Venetian Gothic style, and one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice in northern Italy.
Edited this picture and I feel like I'm in a harry potter movie~

After taking lots of photo's, it's time for dinner~ I remembered that night was drizzling and soo cold. There are many small shops in the alley and I've bought a leather handbag that cost 45 Euro. Love the quality and the design. Heard from people that when we visit Venice, we should try the squick spaghetti that is kinda famous. After eating it, my whole mouth and teeth is in black~

After dinner, we went back to our hotel because it's so cold outside. Time to have a hot shower and packed our luggages because the next day we gonna take ferry back to the train station and head back to Paris again. It's a short visit at Venice but we've enjoyed ourselves so much there. Yoohooo~
