UBIN ISLAND (乌敏岛) SINGAPORE

One day trip, 30th December 2014

We all had a great time spending time together, exercising and chit chatting.
This is my first time there, the place is beautiful, we cycle a lot and it's kind of tiring but fun!!
One happy family!

First we head to Changi Point Ferry Terminal and take a short bumboat ride to reach Ubin Island. It will cost SGD $2.50 per pax for a one-way trip and the boatman will wait until 12 passengers then only he will set off. All the boats are operated by individual private owner.

Walking to the boat and go onboard, my uncle in yellow help to pull the string off from another boat so we can set off.

 Let's take a photo!!! Cheezee...
Takes 10 minutes to reach Pulau Ubin

 The yellow team!

Our boat number, old school boat~
Happy and excited, feeling like going holiday again~

 We've arrived!!! Yayy~
Walk in and straight away we are greeted by many bicycle rental shops and a few seafood restaurants. We've bought some nasi lemak, chicken rice and drinks so that we can have a picnic for lunch.
Place that we rent our bicycles, the price range is around SGD $2-$10 per day for each bike depends on the bike chosen.
Got our bikes!! Remember to chose the bikes that has gear and try on the brakes.
It is very important because there are steep hills. It's better if there is a bell on it. Ring Ring~
Rent a bike with basket if you have a lot of things to carry. It will be much more convenient.

This is the place you can get your map showing you the direction to explore Ubin Island. But don't worry if you forgotten to take the map, there will also be directional map along the way.

Remember to put mosquitoes repellent to prevent mosquitoes drinking your blood and also apply some lotion just in case of getting sun burn. Prepare food and water before setting off because there are no shops in the forest.
We are ready!! Let's get started.

First stop, took a photo with this beautiful view but I don't know the name of the place. Oops..
 Sports time!

I brought my handband with me so that I listen to some musics while cycling.
End of the year always rain but lucky for us when we cycle at Ubin, there's no rain and we all enjoyed cycling because the weather is super good. Not too hot and sunny, the clouds covered the sun..
After warming out and cycle to a few places, it's time to have our lunch. Hungry ooh~
Ate our lunch by the beach.
 Happily running around~

After lunch, we continue exploring Ubin Island.
I seldom see my mum exercise but she got no choice but to cycle when we went Ubin Island..haha^^
Uphill and everyone came down their bikes and push their bikes up...
So tiring but nevermind, I can lose some weights and fats.

 I'm in the forest~~~~
We are heading to the Chek Jawa, and once we arrive we need to park our bicycles outside and walk in.
House Number 1
 I pose, pose and pose...haha^^
Walk through House Number 1 and we've reach at the viewing jetty.

One happy family!
  Selfie time!!

Jamie says "I'm jumping down....together with my iphone"
There's uphill and downhill, we walk and cycle so much and our energy level is draining...
Next, this is the coastal broadwalk, walk a big round and look at the beautiful view of the sea.
3 pretty ladies~

Me and my cousin
God~ Why did you do this to us? Haha...Posing here and there and took lots of photos.
 Karate~

This is the Coastal Forest. Many of the coastal forest plants in Chek Jawa are no longer common elsewhere in Singapore. The hilly headland comprises of granite rock with a shallow covering of soil and is exposed to strong winds, salt spray and hot sun. The plants that grow here must therefore be very tenacious and adapted to such an inhospitable environment. The roots of many trees are spread far and wide to provide stability, especially on the steep slopes. S ome are also resistant to salt spray. The forest also provides a refuge for many animals. At dawn, you might be able to see wild pigs and flocks of Red Junglefowl venturing from the shelter of the forests to forage on the shore.
Stepping on this metal, makes my leg shaky~ I don't want to drop down...
Smiling and say "we are ok"
Ballerina...

 My jump shot!
ok~ time to go back to our bikes
Wild Pigs!! near our bikes....searching for food
 Pushing our bikes upwards.....steep hill

End of our journey, we all went to drink coconuts!! So thirsty...

 Time to return our bikes

 Heading back to Changi Jetty..

SGD $2.50 paid each to go back.

We all are so tired but this is a memorable trip for us.
One big family gather together cycling around, chit chatting and playing.
